Baldur Bjarnason's long analysis of what's actually happening to the open web - algorithmic feeds, AI scraping, the enshittification cycle, and what alternatives look like.

The enshittification timeline Baldur draws is depressingly predictable. Platform -> attract users -> attract publishers -> extract value -> repeat. We're in the extraction phase everywhere.
This is exactly why platforms like OpenLinq matter. The open web needs places where the incentive is curation, not engagement maximization.
